A Steady Year

Things have been quite steady mentally so far this year (2026). I have fewer down and anxious periods but they have been less than previous years. I tend to take extra promethazine when I am struggling which often helps although it makes me more sedate. I have also learnt to lean on my faith more to get through more difficult periods. Cuddling Snoopy when its really bad helps.

After waiting many weeks for my referral by the GP about my dizziness and light headedness I contacted the GP Surgery about it. It seems they didn’t make the referral but eventually they did. I am due a Table Tilt Test this week to measure my heart rate and blood pressure in hospital. Hopefully this will lead to some answers.

I saw a Psychiatrist in July. We agreed to reduce my 4 weekly depot of Paliperidone from 150mg to 100mg. As I explained it makes me feel too sedated so we are trialling a lower dose. My new dose started at the end of July. I seem to have a bit more energy during the day so hoping I can cope otherwise. I still sometimes think I can hear my neighbours talking about me but it just isn’t rationally possible. I’m still seeing my care coordinator (Community Psychiatric Nurse) every month. I also still see my private counsellor every 2 weeks on MS Teams.

Now August is over the 2 years since I was sentenced has passed so my suspended sentence order no longer applies which is good. All of that is behind me now except for having a criminal record.

I’m still going to the Sunday service at Church. I still often go on a Wednesday morning to help out at Church. I usually do a few simple tasks like put out tables and chairs or assemble some flatpack. Finn The Dog (The Church Wardens dog) is often their so we often play fetch and I give him a good stroke. The Church warden, signed by other church members gave me a birthday card in September with Finn as the front cover of the card. Its such a nice card I have put it on my wall:
