Medication Increase and New Fidget Toys

Recently I had my Paliperidone (Xeplion) anti-psychotic depot injection increased from 100mg to 150mg four weekly. It’s at the maximum dose now so I guess that’s it for any more increases. On my previous dose I found towards the last week I had a decline in mood with sometimes suicidal thoughts quite often. I would also feel more anxious as well. I generally find I sometimes think I can hear my neighbours talking about me but I think sometimes it’s just my mind playing tricks on me. Perhaps it will help with that as well. Hopefully the side effects won’t get any worse either.

I also was handed over to a new care co-ordinator (Psychiatric Nurse) who I usually see before my depot. The NHS Trust is having a reorganisation so they have reallocated me a new person. I hope I can get on with this new person and that they are helpful. It’s been about 2 years since I was last admitted in a psychiatric hospital so things are better than they were. Before that I spent 13 years in and out of hospital every year sometimes several times a year.

Yesterday I got some new fidget toys or what I call “squishyies”. I find them comforting. I have got similar ones before but after a while they wear out so I was due some replacements.
